The easy way to give, and the Taxman gives us more! It is a simple fact of life that SKCV needs money to pay for our work. Donating to SKCV will give you a stake in the work that we do; you will know that your donation will be used in the best way we can to provide services, education, accommodation and love to street children as they rebuild their lives. Payroll Giving is a particularly effective way of making a regular donation to SKCV because it is simple to set up and maximises the benefit for us. How does it work? You instruct your payroll department that you wish to make a donation to us direct from your pay each month. This is done before your tax is paid and therefore the cost to you is reduced by the highest rate of tax that you pay, while we receive the full amount. We also receive an additional 10% from the Government as an encouragement. What does the employer have to do? In order for the scheme to operate, an employer must be registered with a Payroll Giving Agency. The whole process is simple to operate and requires minimal effort. Most companies are extremely happy to operate and promote the scheme as it shows support for their employees interests and a commitment to work with the wider community. SKCV(UK) can offer informal advice to a company wishing to set up this scheme. How do I start Payroll Giving? All you need to do is complete the Payroll Giving form that we provide and return this to us. We will do the rest. We will let you know how things are progressing and keep you in touch with developments at SKCV. Definitive information on all aspects of Payroll Giving can be found on the Inland Revenue web site: Inland
